Here are some projects I made or I'm currently making for BeOS :
 
 BeSend Current Release : 0.9.0
BeSend is an email sender application intended to be fast, light and fully featured.
Its more interesting feature is the capabilty to resolve nearly all netpositive "mailto" links.

But BeSend has other interesting features :

  • It can send emails through nearly all SMTP servers.
  • It supports 14 text encoding formats.
  • It has its own mail transport protocol (it doesn't use the mail daemon).
  • You can configure as many mailservers as you need.
  • BeSend can be used as a replicant into the tracker.
  • Very good support of NetPositive mailtolinks (you can try it with the file "test.html").
  • It can recognize your system account at startup.
  • It uses a very simple but powerful configuration system.
  • It is a freeware.

How to install it ?

Download the archive below and unzip it.
After the folder 'BeSend' created, you just have to enter in and launch the 'BeSend' program.

If you want BeSend to be launched when you click on a mailto link, you must select this option in BeSend's configuration panel and save it.

 Massive Picture Converter Current Release : 2.0
MP Converter is a tracker add-on whose main purpose is to be able to convert several bitmap pictures at a time, regardless of input file format, to a specific format.
It can also be used as a single application.

For example, if you have a folder with 300 pictures in various formats (targa,tiff,gif,etc) and you want them to be converted to jpeg format and scaled to a smaller size, you'll just have to select all files (<alt>-A) in folder, invoke MP Converter add-on (<alt><opt>-P), select the proper target file format, give the new size and click on Go! button, that's all.

This soft is really useful to make thumbnailed pictures, standardize all bitmap files in a folder, etc.

N.B : Since 2.0 release, MPConvert includes 11 different filters.
Here are them : Flip, Mirror, Negative, Exchange RVB primary colors (3 filters), Greyscale, Rotate 180°, and 3 original "hand-drawing" filters.

Installation :

Unzip the archive, and simply drag "PicConvert-P" into the tracker add-on folder.
If you want to call this add-on with another shortcut key, you just have to change the filename's last character.
I added a symbolic link to the add-on into this archive. You can use it to lauch MPConvert as a single app.

Known bugs :

Some conversions appear to fail when the source file is really big so I suggest you to use the erase option with care.
